Indonesia alone produces over 100 billion plastic bags annually, most of which are used in trading activities. Through the press conference, the company is also spreading a message directed to the government, industry, society, and other third parties to be more attentive towards the threat of plastic. This will hopefully results in plastic usage restrictions and/or regulations such as Peraturan Daerah DKI Jakarta No.3/2013 regarding waste management.
